A complete duct repair service.
For duct systems that are still serviceable but just need some maintenance, we offer a duct repair service that will get rid of all of the leaks and all of the lost energy. We send a technician out to evaluate your system first, so you only pay for services that are going to make your system work better.
- We reattach loose duct,
- Locate all of the leaks by pressurizing the duct system,
- Seal all leaks and duct connections with metal tape or mastic,
- Straighten out kinked ducts,
- Strap up any duct that is laying on the attic deck,
- And replace damaged sections of duct with modern, insulated duct.

Duct Redesign: Get the performance and efficiency your system is capable of.
In some cases, simply sealing the duct work is not enough to get adequate performance out of the system. If the duct system was poorly designed to begin with, no amount of sealing is going to make the air conditioning system work as well as it could.
In these situations, our experts are capable of creating and installing a duct system that is optimized for your particular air conditioner and building layout. In general, the design will maximize total air flow and balance the air flow distribution throughout the building. Accommodations are made if a certain office has higher heat generation.

The air ducts originally installed on a building are designed for low cost, not performance.
When builders put up a building, they typically use the cheapest materials in order to increase their profits. The result is a duct system that was designed to be just barely satisfactory for the original air conditioning system. Having an air duct system that is properly designed to give optimum air flow will increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the entire system.
Your air conditioning system is only as strong as the weakest link.
Modern high efficiency air conditioners offer great performance and energy savings, but if your ducts are not in good condition and properly sized for the equipment, you won't see any of it. Just because a company came in and installed a new air conditioner does not mean they checked the ductwork. High efficiency air conditioners need high air flow to achieve their potential, and well designed duct systems are a big part of getting that flow.

Low cost duct systems degrade quickly.
Cheap air ducts typically are made with a thin plastic outer liner that are easily torn by careless service people and other attic-dwelling creatures. Tears become leaks, which reduce air flow, waste energy, and provide a way for dust and debris from the attic to enter the building. Also, because they are located in the attic, air ducts are exposed to constant high temperatures, which accelerates degradation. Poorly sealed junctions can come loose under the heat, resulting in more leaks.
The EPA and Department of Energy highly recommend it.

The ultimate duct system.
When it comes to duct systems, zone control systems are the ultimate. Zone control systems consist of motorized dampers that control the flow of air through each supply duct. The offices of the building are then divided into "zones", and each zone has its own thermostat. The thermostats and dampers are wired to a central control board.
When one of the zone thermostats signals that cooling is needed, the control board opens only the dampers for that zone. The result is that the temperature throughout the building is more uniform. For instance, for a two-story building where the upper floor is almost always warmer than the bottom floor, the upper floor can be placed on a separate zone. This will cause the upper floor to receive more cooling than the bottom floor, keeping the two levels at the same temperature.
Zoning also works equally well for heating, keeping the bottom floor as warm as the upper floor.

Greater control brings greater efficiency.
With more thermostats throughout the building, zone control allows you to selectively air condition the parts of the building that actually need it, rather than air conditioning the entire building any time one area needs it. This usually reduces the size of equipment that you need to air condition your building. Smaller equipment is less expensive and uses less energy.
Because each zone has its own thermostat, each zone can also be set to a different temperature as desired.

Adding UV lighting to your air conditioning system is another alternative for purifying your air.
The indoor cooling coil creates condensation as it dehumidifies the air in your offices. The presence of water allows the growth of algae and mildew on the coil and in the drain pan. These organisms create odors and impair the performance of the air conditioner.
Ultraviolet light has long been used as a way to kill micro-organisms and sterilize equipment. We can install UV lights designed to mount inside the indoor cooling coil and ductwork to kill algae, mold, mildew, bacteria, and viruses as they circulate through your air conditioner.
